New Dwelling in Bildeston Gains Planning Permission

New Dwelling in Bildeston Gains Planning Permission

August 22, 2020

A new single storey dwelling to the rear of Verandah House, Bildeston has gained planning permission.

Accessed via a shared driveway which will be widened to improve accessibility, the new dwelling is carefully positioned to the rear of the plot to maximise levels of daylight between the numerous existing trees.  The dwelling would be finished in vertical timber weatherboarding with a black brickwork plinth, the roof would be finished in standing seam metal and the windows and doors would be grey powder coated aluminium.

The proposed design, materials, form and scale respect the character of the neighbouring listed buildigs, the immediate site context and the wider Bildeston Conservation Area.

The design will be built to high sustainability standards including the use of a pre-fabricated timber SIP frame by Potton Homes, a Kingspan company.
