The remit of an architectural practice has developed over the years to encapsulate much more than building design, yet the fundamentals have remained the same. Our role is to design buildings, spaces and places to enhance people’s enjoyment of the place.

Everything we design considers its situation. So, we visit the site, look at the materials used in adjacent properties and create a building that has a sense of scale. Our architectural designs don’t necessarily need to mimic the neighbours, but they should have respect for their environment.

As the lead designer, the architect is tasked with delivering a project which satisfies the client’s brief and brings a shared vision into reality. This cannot be done in isolation, and we implicitly understand that a holistic approach is required from the whole design team. We work closely with local structural engineers, quantity surveyors and numerous other disciplines from arboriculture and ecology to historic building to bring a project to fruition.
