A complete refurbishment and extensions to a 1970s dwelling, in the village of Lindsey. The existing house comprised a typical facing brick built form with rendered panels and a pantiled roof. Simple in its appearance but typical of this era.
The result is an informed contemporary dwelling with updated external appearance and with extensions to provide flexible living and bedroom accommodation.
The house now provides a more sympathetic appearance to the front and rear of the property, with a glazed gable to the front and extended rear living area becoming the main area used by the family.
The materials used externally comprised horizontal cedar boarding, which is emphasized by the curved aspect of the rear extension and roofing over. New rendered sections of walling replaced the out dated facing brickwork.
