St Joseph’s College Mixed Use Development Planning Submission

A planning application has been submitted to Ipswich Borough Council for a mixed use redevelopment of land at St Joseph’s College, Ipswich.  The application comprises:

  • A new Boarding House adjacent to Emmanuel Close and Birkfield Drive.
  • The conversion of Goldrood House and Mews Cottages into 16 new apartments and houses.
  • The demolition of the existing 1960s boarding block.
  • 35 new environmentally sustainable residential dwellings within new parkland public open space.
  • A new public woodland footpath will link from Belstead Road to Stone Lodge Lane.

The application follows many months of development and public consultation, and close collaboration with the design team:
