Wincer Kievenaar Architects is celebrating after picking up two RIBA Suffolk awards.

The Hadleigh practice was announced as the winner of this years’ prestigious Design Award, as well being presented with a Craftsmanship Award for its work on an extension to a private dwelling, Monkey Lodge at Freston adjacent to the River Orwell.

The judges commented: “Monkey Lodge and its gateway are Grade II listed structures that have been skilfully renovated and altered, to form a contemporary extension which has created a family home. The judges were particularly impressed by the clever site planning, the crisp detailing of the extension and especially by the way in which the new contemporary form respectfully sits next to the old, with expertly handled transition between the two.”Philip Branton, Director at Wincer Kievenaar said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for our work on this project. To win one accolade is brilliant, but to have picked up two is testament to the quality of our team and their attention to detail to make sure they deliver on the clients’ vision.”MAIN PHOTO Monkey Lodge 4756_Image 01
