Seymour House Nursery

Construction began in September 2024 and we’re thrilled to see the Seymour House Nursery now fully operational and welcoming children!

Designed by Wincer Kievenaar, this purpose-built nursery provides 72 places, with dedicated classrooms, staff facilities, and a first-floor play terrace overlooking a beautifully landscaped outdoor play area.

The building has been thoughtfully designed with integrated shading to protect children from both sun and rain, featuring enhanced thermal efficiency and a large photovoltaic array to support long-term sustainability. Reflecting its strong environmental performance, the nursery achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating, with the assessment carried out by JSH.

It has been a privilege to work alongside Seymour House on this remarkable project. Rose Builders have delivered outstanding craftsmanship in bringing the design to life, supported by excellent collaboration across the team. Recognition is also due to Frith Blake and P11 Consultants, with sincere thanks to the Seymour House team for their unwavering vision, dedication and commitment throughout the process.

Now open and in full swing, the Seymour House Nursery is already offering a vibrant, safe and enriching space for children. In addition to its environmental features, the nursery has been carefully designed to support children’s development, with a range of educational resources and activities in both the classrooms and outdoor areas. The first-floor play terrace is a favorite for creative play and social interaction.

The nursery staff are loving their bright, welcoming environment and are excited to continue providing a nurturing space for children. With its thoughtful design and dedicated team, we’re confident that the children will thrive in this safe, dynamic space every day.”
