Tucked away off Rushmere Road in Ipswich, this project for a new dwelling advanced a previous planning approval by another architect to generate an increase in floor area and bedrooms, with an overall reduction of site footprint. This provided a spacious and flexible arrangement of rooms, lit by large glazed areas to make best use of the site and sunshine. A distinctive appearance is rooted in the vernacular tradition, and its balanced and attarctive composition is created through a mixture of high quality local materials.
